Craig Bowden

Craig Bowden began his jewellery career in the gold centre of Western Australia - Kalgoorlie. Trained as an apprentice with Smales Jewellers, Craig's early career was spent refining his jewellery making craft & exploring the many fine details of watch repair (which he still does!). Moving to Broome in 1998, Craig worked with various local jewellers, before being offered a position with Gary Clark of Camdons Fine Jewellery. Which is where many of you may have come across him over the 20 years he worked with Gary at Camdons. Craig was often seen multi-tasking at the front sales counter, still with jewellery loupes (goggles) on his head and whichever tool he had been most recently using to produce fine jewellery, in his hand as he conversed with customers old and new. 

Craig became known for his impeccable attention to detail and wonderful level of customer care. Craig would carefully take the time to explain exactly how a particular piece of jewellery would be put together, to ensure each customer understood exactly what to expect.

Move forward to mid 2023, when Gary Clark very sadly decided to end an era & close the doors of Camdons Fine Jewellery, he encouraged Craig to go out on his own and open his own Fine Jewellery Workshop in Broome... and hence 'C2 Jewellery was born!

Why C2 Jewellery?

When Craig joined Gary Clark to work at Camdons, there was another Craig already employed there. So in a bid to tell one Craig from the other in conversation, the first Craig became known as C1, and Craig Bowden 'C2'. Over the years the name simply stuck, with many of you referring to Craig as C2. The other side of the new business name C2 Jewellery refers to the focus on pearl jewellery. As pearls come from the sea (C), before being made to (2) Jewellery. From the sea to jewellery. C2 Jewellery.

Craig carries his high level of professionalism and attention to detail into his new business C2 Jewellery, with many past customers reaching out to follow him to his new home of jewellery.
